DESCRIPTION

The name oregano is derived from a Grecian word meaning “joy of the mountains”, and for many centuries the Greeks have used oregano widely in food and as medicine. Traditionally the volatile oil has been used to support digestion, the respiratory tract, joint function and the urinary system.

Oregano Oil contains pure essential oil from the plant Origanum vulgare, containing 65% carvacrol. The oil is prepared by steam distillation without the use of solvents or other chemicals.

WHY SUPPLEMENT WITH OREGANO OIL ?

The primary active constituents in oregano, thymol and carvacrol, are phenolic compounds which may contribute to -

  • A healthy microbial balance in the gastrointestinal tract
  • Healthy sinus and respiration function
